Why has magick always been part of the occult, the hidden knowledge, the forbidden knowledge ?
Why were there such efforts to hide it, to tarnish its reputation, to burn the books and the practioners alltogether ? Why has this been done specifically to witchcarft but to nothing else?
Diiferent systems were able to thrive, alchemy turned to chemistry for example, they got rid of the spiritual and kept the science. Why witches were so hunted to the point that we kept the expression of a witch-hunt to this day ?
Because Magick defies religions, defies systems and rules. It gives power to the people while they wanted control of the people. Magick isn't your ennemy, it's your friend. And they hated it. Instead of praying and hoping and accepting your fate, magick lets you say NO. I am getting what I want, the way I want it. While they tell you you are powerless, magick tells you you are powerful. Magick threatened to put them out of business.
Magick teaches you that you can create, that you have power over life, that life happens from you not to you. And thats is why they hated it and did all they could to destroy us.
Witches were empowered women, that didn't take no for an answer, that allowed their will to be above all else. Women, females, that left their social roles of submission and took control, not just over men or over society or religion but over life itself!!!
For that, they were burnt, for that they were depicted as scary ugly creatures, they were taught to kids as beings to avoid and to be afraid of. Indocrinating kids to run away from magick and witchcraft so they can raise generations of submissive sheep that lack any awarness. But every here and there, someone is called. That is another beauty of this craft, it calls you, all your life you feel attracted to it, all your life you question things, until you find it, until you lose yourself in it and emerge as a powerful enlightened being. Not a green faced abomination.
Just imagine for a second how life would be, if magick was common knowledge. How humans would behave and react to life events if they knew nothing was final and all can change ? ....
Food for thought.
